Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to adult oncology patients in the PCU, including ongoing assessments and symptom monitoring
- Administer prescribed medications and manage IV therapy, following physician orders and current standards of care
- Monitor patient status, interpret changes in condition, respond to alarms, and escalate to the care team when needed
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, case managers, and therapy teams to coordinate discharge planning and continuity of care
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record, including vitals, medications, fluid balance, and progress notes
- Support patient and family education regarding disease process, treatment plans, and symptom management

Requirements
- Certification: AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH Certification
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a PCU or progressive care setting
- Unit experience: PCU/Intermediate
- Scheduling: Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a 3-on/3-off rotation and adapt to unit needs
- Location note: No local candidates within 50 miles
