Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to adult patients in a PCU/IMCU with high-acuity conditions, under physician oversight.
- Monitor vital signs, perform ongoing assessments, interpret data, and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Administer prescribed medications and therapies, including IV heparin drips, with careful dosing, infusion management, and monitoring for adverse effects.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, discharge planning, and safe patient transitions.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record with thorough, accurate charting.
- Maintain patient safety and infection control standards; provide patient and family education and support.

Requirements
- Active RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a high-acuity adult unit (PCU/IMCU or equivalent)
- Experience with IV therapies and heparin drips; ability to manage complex conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, CKD
- Ability to work night shifts on a 2x4 schedule in a hospital setting
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
