Assembly / Custom Solutions Technician Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The production team is a group of professionals who are responsible for assisting in the development of solutions by planning and executing the assembly for the customer.

The technician will be part of the production group and will build customer assemblies using hand tools, and automated equipment as training and experience dictates. The candidate will work independently, but also as part of a team to finish tasks when required. The candidate must be able to provide quality work in a safe and efficient manner.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assembles parts per specifications.
• Reads blueprint, schematics, or similar documentation.
• Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machines maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
• Maintains equipment and performs basic repairs when needed.
• Inventories tools, parts, and supplies
• Inspects work to specific testing and quality standards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Participates in continuous improvement.
• Maintains a safe, clean and organized work environment.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Virtual and hands-on training is provided through Swagelok on all products, approved assembly and quality control methods.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• All associates are expected to maintain a neat and orderly workspace while working together to keep common areas clean.
• Frequently engages in activities that require the use of hands for typing, handling, or feeling objects, reaching with hands and arms.
• Engage in effective verbal communication and active listening.
• Lift and/or move objects 5-25lbs occasionally.
• Frequently required to stand, walk sit or stoop.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance.
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision; color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical Degree (2 yr.) preferred.
• Minimum of 2-year experience in manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
