Senior Data Scientist

Come help us build the world’s best omni-channel software! Deposco is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Data Science team, focused on R&D innovation. You will use your analytical expertise to create innovative solutions to supply chain and commerce execution, planning, and strategy problems. Working alongside our team of product managers and software developers, you will help design and deploy these solutions to the Deposco platform — affecting real value in our customers’ businesses. The right candidate will have a strong background in data science methods, an enthusiasm for problem-solving, self-motivation, and effective communication skills.

What You'll Do:

• Formulate and prototype mathematical models and analyses that serve as the foundation for future products and modules.

• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate these models, engineer solutions to computational challenges, and ensure a successful deployment to the Deposco platform.

• Work with product owners to design product features enabled by data science methods.

• Support Business Development by analyzing how our solutions drive supply chain-enabled growth.

What You'll Need:

• M.S. (Ph.D. preferred) in Operations Research, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related mathematical science, or equivalent experience.

• Strong development skills in Python (additional experience in Java is a plus).Fluent with SQL and relational database concepts.

• Strong understanding of mathematical optimization methods (e.g. mixed-integer linear programming, convex optimization, dynamic programming, network flows).Strong understanding of stochastic processes and (Monte Carlo, discrete-event) simulation methods.

• Strong understanding of statistical learning (regression modeling) and AI methods (structural causal models, generative LLMs).Understanding of macroeconomics and supply chain concepts is a plus.

• Experience with data visualization tools, such as Domo or Tableau, is a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication.A sense of curiosity, self-motivation, and a love of learning.
