Job Purpose:
The Facility Manager will plan and oversee daily operations of the company to ensure goals and objectives are achieved. They will optimize processes, ensuring efficient operations while fostering a collaborative team environment. This position will also serve as the critical link of communication and coordination between the customer and internal parties.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manager and provide oversite of daily operations.
- Ensure work is performed safely, on schedule, within customer specifications, and cost effectively.
- Oversee employee performance program and hold accountability for the development of employees.
- Make operational procedure adjustments to ensure daily KPIs are met or exceeded.
- Report on KPI’s outlined by the company.
- Serve as a point of escalation for unresolved customer issues.
- Commit to understanding and meeting customer needs, ensuring that our logistical operations aligned with our mission to deliver exceptional service.
- Focus on continuous improvement by identifying and implementing operational improvements, as well as contributing overall to ongoing efforts to improve all experiences with MainOcean, LLC.
- Maintain various records according to company and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with other leadership to ensure a unified approach.
- Foster a forward-thinking approach and passion for implementing creative solutions to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Duties and responsibilities may change, and new ones may be added, at any time with or without advanced notice.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in management, logistics, or other relevant field preferred.
- At least 3 years of relevant, strong experience in warehousing, logistics, supply chain management and/or operations in a 3PL environment.
- 5 to 7 years of management and leadership experience with a successful track record of safety, operational efficiencies and employee development.
- Possess analytical skills to assess data and make informed decisions that positively impact the business.
- Natural leader who inspires teams, fosters collaboration, and effectively communicates across all levels of the organization.
- Experience with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Knowledgeable in the areas of safety, quality, and efficiencies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, RF scanning, and Warehouse Management Systems.
- Familiarity with logistics software and technology that facilitate tracking, reporting, and process improvement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
- Able to maintain calm and focus while managing multiple activities simultaneously, shifting priorities as needed.
- Flexible Team player.
Working Conditions:
- None: The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
- The worker is subject to noise occasionally: There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.
Physical Requirements:
- Light work: Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.
- Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
- Sitting: Be in a seated position for an extended period of time.
- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
- Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.
- Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling.
- Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly
- Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and making fine discriminations in sound.
- Seeing: Clarity of vision at near and far distances, depth perception, and able to work in low light environments.
Direct Reports:
- 10 to 20 direct reports.
