Production Manager (Conyers)
The Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations for a team producing commercial refrigeration and food retail equipment components. This role is responsible for leading team leads and hourly production employees to ensure safe, efficient production while meeting quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise team leads and hourly production employees on the manufacturing floor
- Promote and enforce safe work practices and compliance with safety procedures
- Coordinate daily production activities to meet schedule, quality, and productivity goals
- Develop, implement, and audit standard work processes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and perform root cause analysis for production issues
- Monitor production performance and analyze productivity data to identify improvement opportunities
- Maintain inventory control for raw materials within the assigned department
- Partner with supply chain, quality, and shipping teams to support production flow and delivery timelines
- Address operational issues that impact production schedules or customer expectations
- Enforce company policies and collaborate with HR, Safety, and other departments when needed
- Support hiring efforts, including opening requisitions and interviewing candidates
- Track employee training and skill development through a skills matrix
- Maintain accurate timekeeping records in ADP for direct reports
- Foster a positive team environment and maintain employee accountability
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of leadership experience (team lead, supervisor, shift lead, etc.)
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, or other continuous improvement methodologies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work extended hours or weekends when required
