SUMMARY: The Corporate Wellness Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting in all aspects of the corporate wellness program for all corporate locations. Must be passionate about wellness and have the ability to inspire participation and create trust with others. This position requires a comprehensive understand of confidentiality and strict adherence to HIPAA. This position is part-time, M-F 5 hours per day (25 hours weekly) at $25-30 per hour.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to (for all company locations):
- Promote wellbeing, coordinate health and wellness activities; health screenings, lunch and learn seminars, weight loss challenges, blood drives, etc.
- Coordinate and supervise community activities and events.
- Provide health educational materials and communications to employees.
- Keep abreast of current national wellness and wellbeing initiatives and activities, developing a network of resources and contacts
- Explore ideas and opportunities to enhance the program.
- Encourage and motivate employee participation in the wellness program.
- Support employee use of the wellness platform, promote healthy habits, encourage onsite gym use.
- Monitor the program improvement and progress, including activity stats and reporting.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Experience in health, wellness, nutrition, and fitness with excellent communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization, ability to organize and prioritize, ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Demonstrates a proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail and internet navigation.
- Has knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations for wellness programs.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- College degree
- 1 year of experience as a health and wellness coach
- Certified Health and Wellness Coach
- Certified Fitness Coach a plus
- Healthcare industry experience
- Corporate Wellness Program experience preferred.
- Community event coordination; 5K run nature walk events.
- Wellness fair coordination; biometric screens, vaccine clinic
- Customer focused and excellent customer services skills
- First Aid certified
- CPR certified
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires sitting, standing, walking, and light to medium lifting.
