Summary

Reads, interprets and understands manufacturers' equipment manuals, preventative (PM) task sheets and safety policies. Performs equipment adjustments and repairs, preventative maintenance and emergency breakdowns. Successfully troubleshoot, install, inspect, maintain, and repair work vehicles, and other equipment such as Pallet Jacks/Forklifts as directed.

Schedule is Monday through Friday 6am shift start, and "On Call" for emergencies.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Reads, interprets and understands manufacturers' equipment manuals, preventative (PM) task sheets and safety policies.
• Performs equipment adjustments and repairs, preventative maintenance and emergency breakdowns.
• Use of hand and shop tools safely and efficiently.
• Identify parts & supplies as needed to perform assigned tasks using manual, catalogs, etc.
• Successfully troubleshoot, install, inspect, maintain, and repair work vehicles, and other equipment such as Pallet Jacks/Forklifts as directed.
• Properly fill out work orders request for emergency and scheduked work.
• Perform all daily activity for proper documentation.
• Assista and Train other associates as needed.

Minimum Education

• High School or equivalent.
• 2 years formal trades/technical training, or qualified apprentice program or 2 years practical hands on experience in industrial maintenance/automotive mechanics.
• Reading, writing and analytical skills are required

• 2 years practical hands on experience in industrial maintenance/automotive mechanics.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

• The environmental factors and / or physical requirements of this position include the following:
• Ability to work for 8 hours in a stationary position or travel on a wet, moist, dry, greasy, floors which may include medal or plastic grating surfaces with up to 4 hours in a single interval.
• Ability to work from various types of ladders.
• Exposure to and work in temperatures of less than -40 degrees and 75 degrees with ambient humidity, also will require from time to time working outside, on roof, during all seasons of the year and temperatures associated with the seasons.
• Noise of 110 db, and light intensity range of 50 to 100 foot candles.
• Bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, sitting, and grasping varies in repetitions, distance, degrees, angle, weight, heights, longest interval of time, objects grasped, and body positions depending upon the maintenance task required.
• Exposure to chlorinated water ( 50 ppm, Ammonia vapors ) 5 ppm, dry ice, caustic detergents, lubricating oils, hydraulic oils, and other chemicals found in a poultry processing plant.
• Must use and / or wear protective and safety equipment required for the job.
