We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Lawrenceville, Georgia. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to support various HR functions within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. As part of the team, you will contribute to employee engagement, compliance, and administrative processes while gaining valuable experience in HR operations.
Responsibilities:• Organize and execute employee engagement activities, such as preparing and sending recognition cards, coordinating monthly celebrations, and supporting service anniversary acknowledgments.
• Compile and distribute routine HR reports, including headcount and termination data.
• Provide administrative support for recruitment efforts, including candidate data entry and offer letter preparation.
• Serve as a point of contact for HR-related inquiries from drivers and office staff, ensuring timely and effective communication.
• Ensure compliance by maintaining accurate employee files, tracking licenses, and coordinating drug screenings.
• Assist with workers' compensation and leave administration processes.
• Perform general administrative tasks to support the HR department, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.• Prior experience in HR administrative roles.
• Familiarity with the transportation or logistics industry is advantageous.
• Knowledge of HRIS systems, with experience in SAP CRM or SAP Business ByDesign being a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a detail-oriented and approachable demeanor.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Adaptable and willing to take on diverse responsibilities.
• Demonstrated eagerness to learn and grow within the field of HR.
