The Position Freight Auditor and Data Integrity Coordinator Job Summary Job Summary Provides logistics analysis by proactively obtaining, collecting, and analyzing data to communicate information beneficial to support logistics functions. Coordinates transportation portion of projects to minimize cost and assure integrity of shipments. Assists Customer Service, Sales and Procurement with transportation needs and logistics knowledge for feasibility and to minimize cost. Researches and authorizes freight invoices for accuracy and validity. Analyzes freight data to maximize efficiencies, resources, costs and strategies. Act as SAP ERP, Princeton and Intellitrans Superuser. Uses skill set to lead transportation projects and develops functional transportation expertise in both truck and rail logistics and to serve as a back-up support resource to the Logistics manager. Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Key Owner of the Supply Chain department, infrastructure management, and data support expert for the function.
  • Create, prepare, manage, and publish all monthly reporting relating to transportation from Princeton, Intellitrans, SAP, and Prism/Insight data warehouse.
  • Resolution of freight discrepancies and accounts payable invoice discrepancies while working to resolve common issues (continuous improvement). It requires phone calls to plants, online research, and interaction with the A/P department. It also requires knowledge and understanding of reasons for discrepancies, the freight billing process in our ERP system, GL coding, and carrier/plant interaction. Also, research purchasing invoice discrepancies related to the purchase order process in the ERP. Resolution of typical issues that may occur between suppliers, receiving departments, purchasing buyers, and requestors.
  • Works closely and communicates with Logistics Manager and Finance department on all budget, GRIR (Goods Received Invoice Received) transactions, and Freight P&L related reporting
  • Monitor and report demurrage by location and analyze and report the reasons.
  • Gather and manage supply chain quality metrics from various systems - truck turn-away reports, detention reports, credit and rebill events, and other sources. Update quality reporting and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Implements and manages changes from annual freight bids executed by the North America Central Logistics team
  • Update and publish weekly freight equalization report; weekly review of freight reconciliation and report findings
  • Key liaison with IT and Finance to ensure data integrity. Create a process to increase efficiency and reduce errors. Test new software code as needed.
  • Works with Plant resources to resolves daily operational issues (pick up/delivery problems, carrier no shows, driver detention, corrected BOL's, refused loads, etc) logistically to minimize cost and resources.
  • Analyzes freight data and lanes to determine optimal utilization of carriers and equipment
  • Back up to the Regional Logistics Manager to provide pricing for Cust Svc, Sales, Marketing, and NPD.
  • Back-up for negotiating rates and services for contracts and/or spot quotes for all domestic facilities.

Education/Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of B.A or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years industry experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma, Quality Team Experience a plus
  • Project Management Experience a plus
  • Occasional Travel to the Plants
