Morganton Point - Campground Assistant Manager (on-site)

FIND Outdoors serves over 800,000 visitors each year with over 150 educational and recreational programs, special events, and tours, and manages 15 recreations, education, and camping facilities in North Carolina, Kentucky and Georgia. In addition, FIND offers our visitors forest- related gifts, education resources, and provides partnership opportunities for the health of our forests and the safety of our forest users on public and private lands. About the Opportunity:
Assistant Site Manager – Morganton Point Recreation Area
The Site Manager works to enhance support for the mission of education at FIND Outdoors. This role will focus on providing exceptional experiences through the management of the site, which includes
overseeing daily operations, coordinating programming with the Director of Education, while ensuring the safe and attractive operation of all grounds, facilities, buildings/collections and equipment with a focus on sustainability and green practices where appropriate. The successful candidate must have the requisite skills to function in this position and will be held to a high standard for customer service, employee and community relations and will be an ambassador to the FIND Outdoors brand. Type of Employment: Seasonal
Reports To: Site Manager
Compensation: $250/per week (per person if couple) and a full-hookup site RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain the high functioning relationship with the United State Forest Service Team on the Blue
Ridge Ranger District that has been developed with FIND.
2. Training and supervision of seasonal hosts, including scheduling for daily operations.
3. Monitor staff interaction with the public to ensure providing exceptional experiences are foremost
in contact with visitors; resolution of customer complaints.
4. Register guests and collect fees.
5. Ensure routine inspection and maintenance of grounds and facilities.
6. Ensure proper bathroom cleaning, painting, identifying and correcting hazards, removing graffiti,
washing/treating signage, tables, and boardwalks.
7. Ensure proper emptying recycling containers and collecting trash from receptacles and grounds.
8. Coordinating minor and major repairs with FIND HQ team or Operations Associate
9. Perform any duties required to maintain the highest operational integrity.
10. Adhere to annual budgets.
11. Coordinate proper maintaining vehicular access, parking lots, and walkways free of vegetation
and pot holes.
12. Accurate and timely record keeping and reporting procedures.
13. Participation in regular meetings with FIND staff and USFS representatives.
14. Assistance with opening and closing of grounds and facilities.
15. Work closely with FIND HQ on public communications.
