Per Diem Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) School-Based Support
Location: LaFayette, GA
A school-based LPN position is available for professionals dedicated to promoting academic, behavioral, and social development in students through personalized support. This per diem opportunity offers flexibility and the chance to positively impact students educational experiences in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or small group academic, behavioral, and social support under teacher guidance
- Assist students with daily routines, classroom participation, and transitions
- Implement behavior support plans and adhere to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Support mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as required
- Help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive school setting
Qualifications:
- Active Alabama LPN License
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Compliance with TB testing requirements according to district policy
- Physical capability to stand, walk, and assist with student lifting when needed
- Current clearances or willingness to obtain them prior to employment
Preferred Experience:
- Background in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care environments
- Experience working with students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Certifications or experience in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), PMT, or RBT considered an asset
- Reliable, patient, and a strong team-oriented approach
