Summary

As a Wireless Communications Engineering Contractor, you will be involved in simulation system design, system level simulation-based analysis and performance characterization, and guiding the design and implementation aspects of enhancements of 5G NR features.
You will be working with a multidisciplinary team to develop custom solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop new features in the NVIDIA Sionna 5G system level simulator tool.
• Design and simulate state-of-the-art 5G wireless communication systems for high data rate applications in the presence of interference.
• Conduct and extract performance from System Level Simulations of 5G NR.
• Evaluate Cell Planning and Channel Modelling
• Design system level test cases for new features.
• Drive feature bring-up and issue resolution.
• Present at status meetings and design reviews.
• Document and record design and testing results.

Requirements

• Experience in system level modeling within NVIDIA Sionna simulator tool.
• PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 3 years' experience, or master's degree with 5 years' experience.
• Strong understanding of cellular wireless communications systems and protocols including non-access stratum and access stratum protocols, PDU, MAC, PHY layers of 5G, LTE based technologies.
• Wireless system engineering experience in system level simulations for 5G systems.
• Knowledge of 3GPP 5G NR and CBRS systems.
• Knowledge of wireless technologies and standards (including 5G-NR, LTE and their implications on RF/PHY/MAC.
• Proficiency in Tensorflow, TensorRT, ONNX, Python, along with version control tools such as Git.
• Experience Cell Planning and Channel Modelling using Sionna Ray Tracing.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to work in distributed/remote teams.
