IT Service Desk Technician

IDR is seeking a IT Service Desk Technician to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Atlanta, GA. This role involves providing essential technical support, managing hardware, software, and network issues in a hybrid environment. The position is ideal for candidates with help desk experience seeking to contribute to a vital organization in the public sector.

Position Overview for the IT Service Desk Technician:

• Serve as the first point of contact for IT incidents, service requests, and technical inquiries.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network connectivity, printing, mobile device, and application issues.
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate IT teams while maintaining ownership and communication with customers.
• Log, categorize, prioritize, and resolve incidents and service requests using ServiceNow.
• Configure, deploy, image, and maintain Windows 11 laptops and desktops using Microsoft Intune and Autopilot.

Requirements for the IT Service Desk Technician:

• High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience providing technical support in a Help Desk or Service Desk environment; OR Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and one (1) year of technical support experience.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 11, Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook), and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot deployment.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow ticketing system, endpoint configuration, and asset management.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
