Job Title: Dental Assistant

Location: Alpharetta, GA

Hours: Full-Time (40 hours/week, 8 hours/day)

Pay Rate: $25 – $28/hr

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our clinical team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care and support in a team-based environment. This role involves a variety of clinical duties, offering ample opportunities for learning and professional growth. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain a welcoming and well-equipped treatment room following strict protocols

• Welcome, comfort, seat, and drape patients in preparation for dental treatment

• Facilitate effective communication by providing accurate information and support to patients and colleagues

• Sterilize and deliver instruments, position instruments for dentist access, suction, and pass instruments during procedures

• Select, mix, and apply dental materials as needed for patient care

• Expose and develop dental radiographs; pour, trim, and polish study casts

• Fabricate temporary restorations and clean/polish removable dental appliances

• Assist in managing dental and medical emergencies, maintaining CPR certification and emergency supplies

• Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative care instructions

• Document dental care services accurately in patient records

• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold office policies regarding information security

• Follow infection control policies and maintain a safe, hygienic workplace

• Use dental equipment and supplies efficiently to conserve resources

• Pursue professional development by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and participating in professional societies

• Contribute to overall team goals and perform additional duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of one year of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant

• Training from an accredited Dental Assistant program

• Valid X-ray license

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Certifications:

• Certification in Coronal Polishing

• Certification in Nitrous Oxide administration
