Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 10 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year, first timers accepted License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Circulate and scrub experience required Description: Minimum experience of 1 year is required. First timers are accepted. The patient population includes adults to geriatrics. The main operating room handles general, neuro, spine, ortho, robotics, urology, vascular, and colorectal procedures. Circulate and scrub experience is required. The unit consists of 16 rooms with an average daily census of 35. Familiarity with Epic and Pyxis systems is needed. Two Davinci XI robots are available for surgical procedures. Scrub color will be provided by the facility. A maximum of 7 days of requested time off is permitted. There are blackout dates during spring break (April 4th-12th). Travelers are expected to work 2-3 weekends per 8-week schedule, either in-house or on call. Call requirements average 7-8 calls in an 8-week schedule. Holiday coverage is required for major holidays. Full compliance is required to start on time; non-compliance may result in delays. Candidates will undergo a clinical review to determine fit for the role. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. Compliance with onboarding and documentation processes is mandatory.
