Position Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will lead a classroom of students through a successful school year by creating and implementing an engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with school and state standards.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement a classroom curriculum that aligns with school and state standards
- Encourage the development of students critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Prepare and organize instructional and learning materials
- Assign, review, and provide constructive feedback on homework and classwork as appropriate
- Take and maintain accurate student attendance records
- Assess student performance and provide meaningful feedback
- Document and monitor students academic and developmental progress
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and school staff to promote a safe and supportive learning environment
- Report and document behavioral incidents in accordance with school policies
Qualifications
- Valid state-recognized teaching credential ( CDA, TCC, Associate Degree, or higher )
- Previous teaching experience ( K12 preferred )
- Strong understanding of child development principles and effective classroom management strategies
- Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines with the ability to strictly adhere to policies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
