Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing general surgery procedures in the OR
- Prepare the OR, assist during procedures, and ensure sterile technique and patient safety throughout the perioperative process
- Monitor and respond to patient status in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases; operate or assist with anesthesia-related equipment as required
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, circulating nurses, and scrub personnel; communicate clearly with patients and families about care plans and expected outcomes
- Document care accurately in patient records; administer medications per policy and maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
- Uphold professional standards in line with the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the ANA Code of Ethics; participate in evidence-based practice and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia
- Perioperative/OR experience or demonstrated knowledge applicable to operating room nursing
- Knowledge of Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics
- Ability to work in a hospital OR environment and to perform duties across 10-hour shift lengths; able to travel as required for a travel assignment
- Education and certifications: not specified beyond licensure; standard perioperative nursing knowledge applicable to the OR setting
