UL Product Safety Laboratory Manager
Our client is seeking a Product Safety Manager to lead a hands-on product safety and certification UL laboratory. In this role you will lead a technical team in all aspects of UL, CSA, and IEC product safety testing. This includes managing daily lab functions and actively participating in standards and certification development. A Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineerig required. Direct experience in a UL, NRTL, or internal product safety test laboratory and a minimum of 3 years of leading/managing a team. ISO 17025 laboratory requirements and UL, CSA, and IEC safety standards knowledge. Apply!

- Laboratory Leadership: Direct and manage a product safety test laboratory, ensuring successful UL, CSA, and IEC certifications.
- Team Management: Provide leadership, supervision, and professional development for the team, including engineers, technicians, and project leaders.
- Operational Planning: Strategically plan and manage staffing, scheduling, workload, and resource allocation to meet all certification timelines.
- Facility Oversight: Manage all laboratory operations, which includes the selection, procurement, installation, and maintenance of essential test equipment.
- Quality & Compliance: Uphold compliance with ISO 17025 and all internal quality management system standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison with engineering, product development, and quality teams to drive certification project success.
- Industry Representation: Actively represent the organization in standards development committees and relevant industry working groups.
- Process Improvement: Lead project execution and continuous improvement initiatives to significantly enhance the laboratory's overall capability
