Shipping and Receiving Clerk

If you’re someone who likes to stay busy, stay organized, and keep things running smoothly, this is the role for you! Join our team as a Shipping & Receiving Clerk and play a key part in our daily warehouse operations.

Responsible for receiving and verifying all inbound shipments.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receiving
Signs all bills of lading and verifies shipper signature and retains for total container count. Responsible for entering all receipts into the AS400 inventory system. Assembles purchase order receiving labels and affixes labels to received products prior to distribution. Builds all pallets of received goods per guidelines for warehouse storage. Responsible for all paperwork related to purchase orders. Responsible for verifying accuracy of quantity received against quantity ordered of goods. Reports any discrepancies to the Shipping/Receiving Manager. Works with accounts payable as needed to reconcile any discrepancies in purchase orders.

• Quality Control
Inspects raw materials received for damage prior to transferring to appropriate manufacture destinations. Notifies Quality Control Department of problems with received raw materials and finished goods and coordinates inspection of vinyl containers with the Quality Control Department.

• Organizing
Responsible for unloading all containers received. Coordinates the distribution of content received to their appropriate locations.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to frequently stand/walk.
• Ability to become certified to operate a forklift and a pallet jack.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to occasionally maintain a sitting position.
• Frequent use of upper extremities to perform keyboard functions
