Responsibilities for a Staff Development Instructor with Phoebe Allentown:

  • Provides general orientation to all employees in the Phoebe organization
  • Provides specific clinical orientation to nursing staff as outlined in the orientation track.
  • Provides coordination of all training to other departments which includes provision of solid training plans and completion of those training plans with the department manager/director.
  • Assures that all departments in the Phoebe organization have competencies related to the employee’s job duties and organizational needs validated during orientation and annually.
  • Participates in the planning, assessment, and implementation of the organization’s educational programs. This is based on the organization’s needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Assists in researching, compiling, organizing and creating educational programming.
  • Communicates on progress of orientation, educational programs to pertinent supervisors as necessary.
  • Required to be a member of QA, and Safety Committees. Required to attend Nursing Meetings.

Requirements for a Staff Development Instructor with Phoebe Allentown:

  • The ability to deliver excellent customer service to all residents, families, and coworkers.
  • Licensed RN, Certified CPR Instructor or willing to complete requirement. Medication Technician Trainer or willing to complete requirement.
  • Minimum of three years of clinical experience. Managerial and supervisory experience preferred. Medication Technician training experience preferred. Adult education preferred.
