Registered Behavior Technician - Complex Behavior (CB-RBT)

Full-Time | Fayette County, GA & Surrounding Areas

Pay: $24.00–$26.00/hour + $2.00/hour Complex Behavior Premium
Schedule: Monday–Friday (some evenings/weekends as needed)

About the Position

Myers Assessment and Therapeutic Services (MATS) is hiring experienced Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to join our Complex Behavior Program . This role supports adolescents and young adults (ages 12–28) who present with severe and high-intensity behaviors , including aggression, self-injury, elopement, and crisis-level episodes.

This position is ideal for RBTs who are confident, compassionate, and ready to work in a highly structured, BCBA-led, and supportive clinical environment .

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 or small-group ABA services

  • Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)

  • Use evidence-based strategies such as FCT, differential reinforcement, and antecedent interventions

  • Manage crisis situations using SafetyCare-approved techniques

  • Collect accurate behavioral data and complete session notes

  • Collaborate with BCBAs, clinical leadership, and families

  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and trauma-informed environment

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active RBT certification (BACB)

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with severe or challenging behaviors.

  • Experience with adolescents and/or young adults

  • Ability to safely implement physical interventions

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)

  • Ability to pass background checks

Preferred:

  • Experience in complex or crisis-level ABA settings

  • Experience with autism, intellectual disabilities, or co-occurring diagnoses

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • Experience with CentralReach

  • Trauma-informed care training

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and move quickly for extended periods

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Ability to respond to crisis situations and manage aggressive behaviors safely

  • Comfort working in clinic, community, and home settings

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly pay ($24–$26/hour)
