Powder Coat Applicator - 2nd Shift

A Powder Coating Applicator is responsible for applying powder coating materials onto various surfaces to provide a durable and protective finish. This job requires a keen eye for detail, precision, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment.

What You’ll Do:  

• Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
• Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedures.
• Preparing surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed.
• Applying powder coating materials using spray guns or other application methods.
• Ensuring even coverage and smooth finish of the coating.
• Operating curing ovens to set and cure the coating.
• Inspecting finished products for quality and making any necessary touch-ups or repairs.
• Maintaining equipment and work area in a clean and organized manner.
• Following safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Documents actions with correct forms.
• Willing to perform other manufacturing tasks as directed and when needed.
• Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.

Who You Are:  

• Previous experience in powder coating application or a related field required.
• Knowledge of powder coating materials and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy materials.
• Willingness to follow safety protocols and wear protective gear as required.
