Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) role is available for the upcoming school year in a K-12 educational setting in Columbus, GA. This contract position offers the opportunity to work directly with students across all grade levels, providing essential speech and language services to support their academic and communicative development.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reports in accordance with school policies
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working in a K-12 school environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and disorders in children and adolescents
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, families, and school staff
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners and fostering a positive educational experience
