Senior Technical Tax Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- CPA or Tax Attorney with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing and mentoring a small tax team.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation.
- Deep knowledge of federal tax law, including pass-throughs and corporations.
Senior Technical Tax Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience with 1120s , trusts, estates, and gift tax planning.
- Familiarity with private equity and venture capital clients.
Senior Technical Tax Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Stay updated with the latest tax regulations and provide authoritative advice on challenging tax matters.
- Scrutinize intricate tax returns to ensure accuracy, compliance, and optimal tax positions before filing.
- Act as the primary technical resource for the tax team.
- Address and resolve inquiries and provide guidance on complex client scenarios.
- Mentor and train team members on internal processes and procedures.
- Meet with high-profile or complex clients to provide tailored tax solutions.
