Java Dev OPS Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Java Dev OPS Developer for a Contract with a client in Atlanta, GA/Dallas, TX. Candidates must have deep hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, designing Java Spring Boot microservices and deploying/monitoring applications on Azure AKS .

Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Java Dev OPS Developer job responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java Spring Boot microservices supporting distributed, cloud‑native applications.

• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot application workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), ensuring reliability and performance.

• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, including build automation with Maven.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to manage secrets, certificates, container registries, and Kubernetes resources.

• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and security through best practices, automated testing, and code reviews.

• Work with distributed databases such as Cassandra, providing support for high‑availability, large‑scale data workloads.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 6–8 years of hands‑on experience in Java development, microservices, and DevOps/Kubernetes engineering.

• Strong expertise in Java Spring Boot and RESTful microservice development, including experience with Maven and distributed databases like Cassandra.

• Proven hands‑on proficiency in Kubernetes and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including CI/CD pipeline implementation using GitLab CI.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
