Position Overview

American Hearts & Home is seeking a reliable and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP)to support a client with daily living activities and transportation needs.

This position requires a caregiver who is dependable, punctual, and comfortable assisting with community-based support and transportation.

⏰ Shift Schedule

• Monday – Friday
• Morning Shift: 6:30 AM – 8:30 AM
• Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM

⚠️ This is a split shift.

Pay Rate

• $18 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision to the client
• Assist with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living)as needed
• Pick up and drop off client at designated location (REQUIRED)
• Support with community outings and engagement
• Ensure client safety, dignity, and independence
• Follow the individualized care plan and documentation requirements
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and care team

Requirements (NON-NEGOTIABLE)

• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be willing to transport the client daily
• Valid driver’s license and insurance
• Must be punctual and dependable (early morning arrival required)
• Ability to pass a background check

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a DSP, caregiver
• Experience with community-based services or the IDD population
• Strong communication and time management skills
