Bookkeeper (Accounts Receivable/ Accounts Payable)

This position will be responsible for:
- Managing accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections
- Handling accounts payable and vendor payments
- Maintain general ledger and perform double-entry bookkeeping
- Complete bank and account reconciliations
- Prepare journal entries in accordance with GAAP (General Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Submit weekly invoices to third party payers
- Enter invoices into the Georgia Medicaid System (GAMMIS)
- Assist with financial reports, budgeting and account analysis
- Work closely with leadership and external accountants
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of AR/AP processes, reconciliations and financial reporting
- Experience in healthcare or medical billing
- Understanding of HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
