Histotechnologist (Allied) - $45.43/hr

Job Summary (Histology Tech):


- Location: 993 Johnson Ferry Road, Atlanta, GA 30342 (No local candidates within 50 miles)
- Schedule: Night shift, 8:00pm 4:30am, 13-week assignment
- Department: 705A Histology Lab (Pathology, Cytology, and IHC)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a pathology laboratory required
- Certification: ASCP (HT/HLT) required
- Education: Completion of a formal histology technologist training program or Associate's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences required
- Responsibilities include:
- Receiving and accessioning specimens from surgery
- Accessioning specimens into Cerner system
- Collecting tissue blocks from Pathologist Assistants (PA staff)
- Processing and embedding tissue samples
- Cutting and staining slides for microscopic examination
- Works with pathology, cytology, and immunohistochemistry (IHC) specimens
