Position : Financial Controller
Compensation : $140K-$150K + Bonus + Benefits
Location : Atlanta, GA
Hybrid Schedule two (2) days per week in office
The Financial Controller is responsible for providing analysis and reporting to support decision-making across operational, financial, and strategic areas of the business. This individual will serve as a Strategic Business Partner to Executive Leadership while also leading the finance and accounting function. The ideal candidate combines a strong analytical mindset with technical expertise, leadership capability and exceptional accounting and finance skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop and support the finance and accounting team, fostering a high-performing, collaborative environment
- Oversee all core accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to Executive Management
- Create and present variance analyses and complex financial models to senior leadership
- Lead the financial planning process, including annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Serve as a strategic business partner to Executive Management, offering insights and recommendations
- Develop and deliver quarterly financial presentations and dashboards to Executives
- Build pro forma models and oversee preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting packages
- Oversee ongoing financial analysis of corporate and operational business activities
- Drive process improvements across financial systems, reporting and operational workflows
- Design and implement KPIs, benchmarks and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making
- Evaluate new business opportunities and associated risks through financial modeling and analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (required)
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with professional services industry background
- Proven track record of building, leading and developing finance and/or accounting teams
- Strong expertise in GAAP, financial modeling, forecasting, and quantitative analysis
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a strategic partner to executive leadership
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence executive stakeholders
- Experience with financial system implementations and process optimization strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Suite and ERP systems required
- Proficiency in Sage Intacct preferred but not required
