JOB DESCRIPTION AND COMPANY LOCATION:
Conyers/Covington GA 30014
- Operate heavy equipment including skid steers, compact track loaders, mini excavators, and other construction equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform rough and finish grading for residential and commercial landscape projects.
- Read and interpret site plans, grading plans, elevations, and construction drawings.
- Establish proper slopes and drainage to ensure water runoff and prevent pooling.
- Prepare sites for sod, seed, planting beds, hardscapes, and irrigation systems.
- Excavate and backfill trenches for drainage and utility installations.
- Install and shape landscape features, retaining wall areas, and berms.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform basic preventative maintenance.
- Maintain a safe and organized job site.
- Work closely with project managers and crew members to ensure quality workmanship and project completion deadlines are met.
- Load, transport, and unload equipment and materials as needed.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating landscape or construction equipment.
- Proven experience with rough and finish grading.
- Ability to read grade stakes, laser levels, transit levels, and grading plans.
- Knowledge of drainage principles and site preparation techniques.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
- Ability to safely enter and exit equipment multiple times throughout the workday.
