Device Engineer II

What you will do:

• Analyze requirements from customers and prepare detailed documentation pertaining to requirement, software architecture, software design and test plan.
• Design critical sections of software involving low level bootloaders, device drivers and user applications based on Qualcomm chipsets.
• Bring-up of camera and display drivers which will communicate with processor through bridge-chip over GMSL link.
• Integration of new sensors in Qualcomm’s camera frameworks like AIS and QCD. Adding peripheral support like I2C based IMU sensor and Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS module. Interfacing PCIe based ethernet switch Qualcomm sa8295 platform.
• Handle critical safety conditions which fall under FuSa requirements reported by controller unit over the CAN protocol.
• Integrate and prepare prebuilt packages for Qualcomm’s proprietary components to be delivered. Migration and porting to latest Android release. Participate in remote debugging with customers if required to expedite issue resolution.
• Participate in code review and document reviews. Prepare project schedule and effort estimation for the proposed architecture.
• Prepare and monitor project life cycle for on-time customer releases. Using proprietary tools like Rhapsody, DNG and RTC for documentation of system architecture, software architecture and requirement.
• Communicate with customers on a regular basis to ensure transparency in discussions.
• Provide training to junior team members and sketch training and tutorials to make them proficient in this domain.

Experience / Education
Typically requires a 4 year degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.

Work Arrangement Fully On-Site: Must be able to travel to an Arrow Client office location as requested by Arrow Client leadership.

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:

$70,000.00 - $126,500.00

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
