Network Engineer
Key Responsibilities / Duties
Design and implement reliable LAN/WAN networks, incorporating fiber-optic backbone infrastructure
Deploy and maintain Ubiquiti UniFi and Netgate appliances
Configure and manage pfSense firewalls for secure, optimized connectivity
Implement and troubleshoot Dante audio networking for AV integration projects
Test, terminate, and certify fiber optic connections for optimal performance
Monitor network health, latency, and AV signal stability
Maintain thorough documentation of configurations, architectures, and cabling layouts
Requirements
5+ years in network engineering, including fiber optic installation and testing
Proven expertise with Ubiquiti, Netgate, pfSense, and Dante audio networking
Knowledge of routing, switching, QoS, firewall management, and VPN solutions
Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) advantage but not required
Relevant certifications (CompTIA Network+, Fiber Optics Certification, Dante Certification, AVIXA CTS) strongly preferred
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive contract rate, based on experience and certification level.
