Responsibilities

• Exercise and promote safety. Proper usage of all PPE when working in the manufacturing areas of the plant
• Promote and comply with all company safety, health and environmental policies, rules and regulations
• Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges

• Ability to work with Microsoft office products on computers, especially Excel spreadsheets
• Good reasoning and decision-making skills
• Implements assigned projects and planned maintenance activities with assistance from the manager and/or process engineer
• Provide engineering support for various process improvement initiatives
• Provide engineering support as needed to the EHS group
• Performs other required duties as needed in addition to the essential responsibilities described above
• Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form

• Project Skills: Able to coordinate projects and execute plans involving multiple personnel from various departments
• Decision-making Skills: Think in terms of what is best for the business and customer when making decisions that may affect areas outside of immediate influence
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to resolve conflict with internal or external sources in the utmost professional manner
• Reasoning Skills: Ability to carry out and communicate written and/or oral instructions
• Physical Abilities: Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands; must be able to lift 50 pounds at any time during his/her shift.; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Qualifications

• Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in college
• Minimum 1-22 years of education in an accredited Mechanical Engineering pr
• At Least 18 years old

Safety Commitment
