Based in Marietta, OH, this Sr Mfg Equipment Maintenance Technician position is part of our diverse and inventive group at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Our division focuses on providing top-tier solutions that impact global health and safety.

The Sr Mfg Equipment Maintenance Technician will be responsible for installing, fixing, and maintaining machinery, equipment, plumbing, physical structures, electrical wiring, and lighting within the plant operating facility according to specifications, codes, safety guidelines, and company procedures.
A day in the Life:
- Inspects and repairs machinery and electrical equipment, piping, building structures, electrical systems, and/or lights for defects or malfunctions.
- Repairs and maintains all production items according to blueprints, manuals, or building codes using hand tools, air tools, mechanical, and electrical tools.
- Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers and CNC equipment.
- Accomplishes preventative maintenance programs for all plant equipment.
- Operates industrial truck to move parts or equipment to other work areas.
- Maintains specified records and logs of repairs and maintenance activities.
- Works on Continuous Improvement and supports all PPI, Keys, and Lean projects.
Keys to Success:
Education
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
Experience
- A minimum of two years of work experience.
- Electrical, HVAC, or contractor certifications or licenses would be a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Works independently and continuously makes decisions for various quality situations in fabricating and repairing equipment.
- Knowledge of general maintenance techniques and processes.
- Proven skills in fixing equipment malfunctions and determining repairs needed.
- Skilled in the use of a variety of electrical and mechanical tools.
