Generator Technician

We are seeking a skilled Generator Technician to join the Anderson Power team who will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing generators used in various settings. The ideal candidate should have extensive mechanical experience and a thorough understanding of generators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections on generators to ensure they are in proper working condition.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing oil and filters, replacing belts and hoses, and cleaning components.
- Troubleshoot generator problems and diagnose malfunctions to determine the necessary repairs.
- Repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning parts using hand tools and testing equipment.
- Keep accurate records of all inspections, repairs, and maintenance performed on the generators.
- Provide technical support and advice to clients regarding the operation and maintenance of generators.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
- Stay up to date with new developments in generator technology and attend training sessions as required.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols at all times while performing job duties.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Generac certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintaining and repairing generators or engines.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with testing equipment and hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and on-call schedules as needed.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
