Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A healthcare opportunity is available for experienced RNs with a focus in Medical-Surgical nursing. This contract role, based in Albany, GA, offers a dynamic work environment supporting multiple specialties in a well-established hospital setting.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 travel assignment, or 4 years of non-travel nursing experience
• Current certifications in BLS and additional certifications depending on unit (ACLS, ASLS, NIHSS for ICU/ED; ASLS or NIHSS for Med/Surg)
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR system
• Ability to function as a Charge Nurse as needed
• Flexibility to adapt to floating assignments across units such as Ortho, Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, ICU, and ED
• C-section experience is not required for this position

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care in a 483-bed main campus and a 124-bed north campus hospital
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio averaging 1:6, collaborate with nurse aides and OB techs
• Participate in weekend shifts every other week and rotate holidays with permanent staff
• Adhere to a strict 75-mile radius work rule with 12-hour shifts (06:45 start)
• Adapt to on-call and low census demands while maintaining high care standards
• Employ critical thinking and clinical skills to monitor patients requiring telemetry, ventilator support, and other advanced care modalities
• Uphold hospital protocols and safety procedures
