Title: Field Service & Quality Technician (Industrial Heaters)

Description:

• We are seeking a hands-on Field Service & Quality Technician to support industrial heating systems in both field service and quality inspection.
• This hybrid role combines commissioning, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, inspections, and quality documentation.
• The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, ISO 9001 knowledge, internal auditing experience, and hands-on weld inspection experience.

Responsibilities:

• Commission new equipment at customer sites and provide startup support.
• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, calibrations, and troubleshooting on industrial heating systems.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, controls, piping, and process heating issues.
• Complete service reports, findings, recommendations, and follow-up documentation.
• Support factory acceptance testing before shipment, coordinate spare parts support and customer needs.
• Provide customer training and internal technical feedback.
• Review drawings, specifications, inspection plans, and customer requirements.
• Support and develop inspection and test plans, perform receiving, fabrication, weld, electrical/control panel, and final inspections.
• Support shipping releases and warranty-related quality investigations.
• Maintain manufacturing data books and quality documentation, create and support non-conformance reports and corrective action documentation.
• Coordinate with project teams, vendors, and customer-facing teams, support ISO 9001 internal audits.
• Help reduce preventable rework and warranty claims.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school, military technical training, or industrial training preferred.
• 5+ years of industrial field service or related hands-on mechanical/electrical experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting/electrical troubleshooting skills.
• ISO 9001, Internal auditing experience required.
• Hands-on visual weld inspection experience required.
• Ability to read drawings, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, inspection plans, and project specifications
• Strong technical documentation skills, valid driver’s license required.
• Passport eligibility required, ability to work in industrial plants, fabrication shops, and construction environments.

Preferred Experience:

• Thermal fluid systems.
• Process heating systems.
• Burners and combustion systems.
• Boilers / Industrial ovens / Pressure equipment.
• AWS, ASME, CRN, or CSA inspection experience.
• Certified Welding Inspector, ISO Internal Auditor, or NDT certifications.
• Factory acceptance testing experience / Electrical/control panel inspection experience.
• Manufacturing data books and NCR/PAR/OFI systems experience.

Travel Requirements:

• Heavy travel required, up to 80% or more depending on workload.
• Overnight and occasional international travel required.
• Must support site visits, factory testing, vendor visits, warranty calls, and project inspections as needed.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly pay plus overtime, saturday work paid at 1.5x.
