1st Shift; 6a-6p, 3 days one week and 4 days the next; includes every other weekend

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Exercise and promote safety
• Understand and use small tools
• Assist with end of the month inventory
• Read and understand information on the manifest
• Know where to find the S.O. number, lot number and serial number
• Know where to find weight, length and piece count
• Fill out the pre-manifest and the manifest after the task is complete
• Inspect rigging (i.e. straps, spreader bar, booms)
• Discern what rigging is required for size, weight and shape of load
• Understand the locations of materials
• Understand how to properly protect material
• Understand and utilize the Box Location computer program to identify and locate finished goods after scanning
• Load trucks and implement training for loading
• Mark each stop correctly
• Fill out truck verification
• Recognize truck safety and always chock wheels
• Know the weekly schedule
• Complete inventory scans independently
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: HS Diploma or GED
• Minimum Experience: None
• Certifications Required: Obtained during new hire orientation

• Communication Skills: Ability to effectively listen and communicate ideas and thoughts to others; able to assimilate ideas originated by others
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
• Reasoning Skills: Ability to carry out and communicate written and/or oral instructions
• Physical Abilities: Regularly required to stand, walk and use hands; must be able to lift 50 pounds at any time during his/her shift; the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
