About the Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 17 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Days (Saturday/Sunday Only) Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience with 1 travel assignment or 4 years of experience without travel. License: Valid nursing license required for submission. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ASLS, NIHSS Must-Have: C-Section experience is required. Flexibility with changing assignments during the shift is necessary. Description: The role is within a medical surgical unit. Candidates will conduct an interview with a designated RN. Notes and profiles will be sent for approval shortly after the interview. There will not be a second interview. The setting includes monitored telemetry on different units. Ventilation support such as BIPAP and CPAP will be available. Nurse to patient ratio is typically 1:6. Nurse aides are also present in the unit. Floating may occur to other areas including orthopedic, neurology, and oncology. It is important to be flexible due to the nature of changing assignments. Shift hours are from 0645 to 1845. There is an on-call requirement for low census situations. Common diagnoses and types of patients may vary across the unit. Pharmacy services are available 24/7. Additional support from various teams such as CRRT is accessible. Monitoring is essential for patient safety and care quality. Candidates must be dedicated to maintaining high standards of patient care.
