Engine Technician
Job Summary
The Engine Technician role will be responsible for the coordination and completion of modification projects and engine repairs. The role will support the inside sales team in the modification of engines to shorten lead times for new business opportunities and support the Production teams with critical repairs. The Engine Technician role will actively coordinate with a cross functional team to ensure the scope of work is clear and materials are arranged to meet deadlines. The ideal candidate must have effective communication skills, mechanical knowledge and attention to detail skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Value Add Engine Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Process and complete repairs submitted through the Engine Repair Process
- Process and complete modification projects submitted through JIRA
- Analyze engineering BOM comparisons in SAP and SERPIC per Modification Projects
- Optimize SAP practices and procedures. Align them with the most efficient
physical process related to Modifications & Repairs
- Provide accurate real time updates on active Modification Projects via JIRA
- Coordinate with department leads & QA on active Repair Requests via SAP
- Coordinate with Material Planning on materials needed for tasks / projects
- Train and support associates to complete assigned tasks
- Track, monitor and report KPI’s for Modification & Repair activities
- Maintain a safe and organized work area daily
- Escalate issues and constraints in a timely manner
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Travel Demands: **Anticipated domestic and international travel is approximately 0 -5% depending on business needs.

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS:
Mechanically skilled and knowledgeable with the ability to effectively utilize mechanical tools.
Strong critical thinking with the ability to effectively apply problem-solving skills.
Ability to read, understand, interpret, and follow written and graphic instructions and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and speak clearly in a group setting and consult with management and team regarding any foreseen issues.
Strong time management and multi-tasking with a demonstrated ability to work accurately, follow instructions/schedules/timelines and handle multiple priorities in a time-sensitive environment.
Strong teamwork mentality with a willingness to work with the team on accomplishing overall department goals.
LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
MATHEMATICAL ABILITY:
Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Compute rate, ratio and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Manufacturing assembly and warehouse environment. Subject to noise, dust, diesel fuel, oil, and extreme hot/cold temperatures. No A/C.
If employee is located in the office area, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
