HR Supervisor (Japanese-English bilingual)

Position summary:

This position serves as an HR Supervisor, responsible for a wide range of HR functions including recruitment and payroll. In addition, as the role involves providing support to expatriates from Japan, native-level Japanese language skills are required.

List of Key Tasks / Primary Responsibilities :

• Recruiting employees in line with open positions

• Managing HR procedures throughout the employee lifecycle (from onboarding to offboarding)

• Designing and implementing initiatives to enhance employee retention

• Overseeing temporary staffing operations

• Planning and delivering employee training programs

• Handling labor relations, including coordination with site supervisors

• Utilizing Paycom HR and payroll system

• Developing and administering performance review processes

• Providing support for expatriate/seconded employees from Japan

Required Skills and Experience :

• At least three years of experience in Human Resources is preferred

• Language Skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, forms and instructions in English and Japanese.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals in English and Japanese.

  • Ability to effectively respond to questions from Management, Staff, clients, and the general public in English and Japanese.

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to individuals and groups in English and Japanese.

• Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

• Reasoning Skills

  • Ability to apply knowledge and sense of understanding to carry-out detailed written or oral instructions.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Ability to analyze and use various documents (contracts, purchase orders, etc.).

• Computer Skills

  • Ability to use a computer and such applications as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and be able to design custom reports as necessary.

• Other Skills

  • Must be tactful, mature, flexible and able to successfully respond to multiple work pressures.

• Bachelor's degree is desirable
