Pastry Cook - PM Shift
Druid Hills Golf Club is excited to announce an open position for a Pastry Cook within our culinary team. We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual who has a knack for crafting exquisite pastries and desserts. You will play a significant role in enhancing our members' dining experiences by bringing innovative ideas and flavors to our dessert offerings. The ideal candidate has a keen sense of detail, is highly organized, and thrives in a collaborative kitchen environment. Join us in creating memorable culinary moments at one of the most esteemed golf clubs in the region.
Key Duties
- Prepare an array of high-quality desserts, pastries, and confections according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist in the development of new dessert items for special events and seasonal menus.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in pastry and dessert preparation.
- Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness standards in the kitchen.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficiency and a high standard of food quality.
- Manage and rotate inventory of pastry supplies and ingredients.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pastry Cook in a restaurant, resort, or hotel setting.
- Culinary school education, specializing in pastry, is preferred.
- Strong understanding of cake and pastry techniques.
- Creativity and a passion for baking and dessert presentation.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication skills and team-oriented attitude.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
