Pastry Cook - PM Shift

Druid Hills Golf Club is excited to announce an open position for a Pastry Cook within our culinary team. We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual who has a knack for crafting exquisite pastries and desserts. You will play a significant role in enhancing our members' dining experiences by bringing innovative ideas and flavors to our dessert offerings. The ideal candidate has a keen sense of detail, is highly organized, and thrives in a collaborative kitchen environment. Key Duties

• Prepare an array of high-quality desserts, pastries, and confections according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Assist in the development of new dessert items for special events and seasonal menus.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in pastry and dessert preparation.
• Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness standards in the kitchen.
• Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficiency and a high standard of food quality.
• Manage and rotate inventory of pastry supplies and ingredients.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pastry Cook in a restaurant, resort, or hotel setting.
• Culinary school education, specializing in pastry, is preferred.
• Strong understanding of cake and pastry techniques.
• Creativity and a passion for baking and dessert presentation.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Effective communication skills and team-oriented attitude.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
