Contract Logistics 3rd Shift Quality Inspector

As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. Then consider joining us as a Contract Logistics 3rd Shift Quality Inspector at our aerospace site in Union City, Georgia. You will work Tuesday - Saturday 9:00 pm - 5:30 am and will be paid weekly at $28.71 per hour plus shift differential. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Inspector determines methods, operations, sequences, and setups to perform inspections. You will be in a large aerospace site. Previous quality experience in an aerospace or automotive environment will help you be successful in this position.

Duties and Responsibilites
- You will review documents when applicable to determine acceptance or non-acceptance
- Produce inspection reports and corrective action requests
- Report quality findings or problems to Quality Manager and follow up to ensure corrective actions are complete
- Maintain record of inspections and prepare list of defects
- Work with all departments to ensure compliance with specification
- Participate in team development including quality and continuous improvement program
What we would like you to bring
Knowledge and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of related experience
- Interpret blueprints and understand Geometric Dimension and Tolerance
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 Standards
- Understand basic concepts of Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or equivalent
