We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Bookkeeper to support our accounting and finance team. This position is critical to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the company.
Job Summary:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing daily accounting tasks, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Process customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to clients and dealers.
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts to ensure timely collections.
- Apply incoming payments to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Communicate with customers regarding payment status, account questions, and dispute resolution.
- Set up and maintain customer account information in the accounting system.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
- Process vendor invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
- Prepare financial reports as requested by management.
- Maintain and organize accounting files and documentation in accordance with company policy and accounting best practices.
- Assist in tracking and managing fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
- Support payroll processing and related journal entries.
- Monitor and report on company expenses, vendor accounts, and purchase orders.
- Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or general accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or inventory-based environment.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across departments.
