Trust Relationship Manager II

Job Summary: Develops new trust accounts, services existing trust accounts and may perform the trust accounting function for accounts under responsibility (those with moderate risk and complexity). Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Develops new Trust business concentrating on both additional trust assets and income.
- Provides advice in one or more of the following areas: personal trust, institutional trust, retirement plan services, estate and tax planning, private banking, and/or investments.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for customers for their financial services needs. Coordinates planning efforts with attorneys, accountants, CLUs, other trust personnel and clients.
- Services existing trust accounts by communicating with grantors and beneficiaries to determine that trust agreements are being carried out as intended.
- May perform trust accounting functions for accounts for which he/she is administrative officer. This may include but may not be limited to, assisting with distributions, preparation of tax information, billing of trust fees and preparing various internal and external reports.
- May attend Trust Committee meetings. Provides account reviews, makes investment recommendations where necessary, and carries out policies as set forth by Synovus Trust Company.
- Adheres to and maintains knowledge of all Synovus Trust Company written policies and procedures. Administer trust accounts and plans in accordance to state, federal, and regulatory guidelines and rules.
- Is actively involved with the community, networking to identify new business development opportunities. May provide educational services to clients and/or plan participants as needed or requested client(s).
- Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of standard PC operations, Micrsoft Office Suite of products, and Adobe Standard.
