Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical (Oncology Floor) position requiring telemetry skills and a GA or compact RN license.

Details

• Medical/Surgical unit within a hospital setting, specifically an oncology floor
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM; 3x12-hour shifts preferred, 4x12-hour shifts will also be considered
• Patient ratio of 1:6 or 1:7; experience with higher ratios is required
• Block scheduling is available
• Charting system: Cerner and Soarian (Cerner experience preferred)
• Every other weekend (EOW) requirement

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• Proficiency with telemetry monitoring and IV starts required
• Candidates must provide a Driver's License and Social Security card for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Oncology experience highly preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Royal blue scrubs are required and are not provided by the facility
• Candidates residing within 30 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position; candidates residing 31–50 miles away are eligible at the local rate
• RTO must be minimal, particularly around the holidays; manager will attempt to be flexible
• Up to 8 hours of non-billable orientation modules are required and must be completed prior to the start date via HealthStream
• If RN license is pending, proof that the licensing process is underway is required for consideration
