Southland Organics is a leading provider of natural solutions for poultry, turf and crop growers as well as wilderness managers. As consumers become increasingly aware of the dangers of harsh chemicals and antibiotics in food sources and the environment, Southland Organics responds to the call for safe, effective alternatives. The business was founded in 2009 to help growers address natural problems with natural solutions at the molecular level. Its team of specialists has helped thousands of farmers, landscape professionals and wilderness managers overcome bacterial challenges and nutrient deficiencies without the use of chemical toxins through its scientifically sound programs.
JOB DESCRIPTION
This person will be responsible for leading our development team and making important decisions that will impact the business. They will ensure that our technological resources meet the company's short and long-term business needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and execute the strategic technology direction for the company.
- Establish and implement short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
- Advise the executive team on key planning issues and make recommendations on important business decisions.
- Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the department's goals and objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 3-4 years of proven experience in a similar role.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
