As a Yardman Helper, you'll be at the heart of our operations, efficiently handling, organizing, and distributing bricks and other materials in the yard. salary: $18 - $18.01 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Material Handling Support:
  • Assist with loading and unloading bricks and other materials from trucks and storage areas.
  • Help organize materials in the yard, ensuring they are stored safely and accessibly.
  • Assist with conducting regular inventory checks and reporting discrepancies to the Yard Supervisor.
• Order Fulfillment Assistance:
  • Help prepare and package orders for delivery or customer pickup according to specifications.
  • Pull orders accurately and efficiently from inventory.
  • Support delivery drivers with loading and securing materials for transport.
  • Verify the accuracy of orders being loaded or unloaded under supervision.
• Yard Maintenance:
  • Help maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the yard.
  • Assist with routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Customer Service:
  • Greet customers and assist them in locating and loading their orders.
  • Answer basic customer inquiries regarding products and availability, escalating complex questions to more experienced staff.
  • Handle customer issues promptly and professionally, seeking assistance from supervisors when necessary.
• Safety:
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
