We are looking for an experienced Data Visualization Specialist for a contract role based in Albany New York. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming complex data into clear compelling visual insights that support business decision-making. This position requires advanced skills in modern visualization tools an understanding of data structures and the ability to work closely with technical and business teams.

Design develop and maintain interactive dashboards reports and visual analytics solutions.

• Work with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate business requirements into visualization specifications.

• Analyze data from various sources and develop meaningful visual narratives to support strategic initiatives.

• Improve existing dashboards and visualizations for performance usability and clarity.

• Collaborate with data engineers analysts and business leaders to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

• Conduct data exploration pattern identification and trend analysis for business insights.

• Ensure visual standards documentation and best practices are followed.

• Present findings and recommendations in a clear and structured manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• 12 years of professional experience in data visualization analytics or a related field.

• Strong expertise in tools such as Tableau Power BI QlikView or similar platforms.

• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation.

• Experience with Python or R for analytics is preferred.

• Solid understanding of data modeling ETL processes and database concepts.

• Excellent analytical problem-solving and data storytelling skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under deadlines.

• Experience working in government or enterprise environments.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.

• Knowledge of statistical analysis or machine learning concepts.

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Data Analytics Information Systems Statistics or a related field.
